Hey there! My name is Mathew. To unlock my door I have to put in different codes!
Ethan Lyubronetsky: Code Finders
To get the codes, I have to solve different trigonometry questions. Here they come!
''If you are looking at a bridge from 15ft away, from an angle of 60 degrees, how high up is the bridge?''Mathew decided to solve the question by using tan(60)*15. This told him that the bridge is about 26 feet off the ground.
''You to see how high off the ground the second floor of a building is for a construction project. You are 20 feet away from the floor and looking up at it from a 45 degree angle. How high up is it?''Mathew solves the question by utilizing the equation tan(45)*20= 20 feet high.
''You want to figure out how tall the Hollywood sign is. You are 150 feet away, looking up at the sign from a 60 degree angle. How tall is it?''Mathew solves the problem by doing tan(60)*150.This shows him that the Hollywood sign is about 260 feet tall.
Yay! Now I have my 3 codes and I got home. Trigonometry always helps me.
