- Ayanda is a young girl who lives in the village of Siyakhula with her wise, old grandfather. One special day, he gave Ayanda the important task of fetching water from the river for the warriors of the village. This task is given to only the bravest of warriors. Ayanda is afraid, but her grandfather comforts her by telling her people are always with her. Ayanda has to complete various tasks as the play progresses, each of which requires her to be strong in the face of danger to overcome her own fears. The play teaches us that it is possible to be brave strong, even if you are the littlest of warriors.
