- This is intended to be of interest I take it?
- Why, yes, of course.
- Then why announce it as if it were the fatstock prices?
- Arthur Kipps, (the character on the left), is meeting with an actor in a theatre, with a manuscript that he wrote himself. He wants to perform it in the hopes of being freed from his past trauma. However, Kipps reads it very blandly, and is shown to be very unenthusiastic, so the actor is trying to help him perform with more emotion.
- Slide: 2
- Draw on your emotions, and on our imaginations.
- Forgive me, I am not an actor.
- No. Again. Try it again.
- Kipps tries to explain that he is not an actor. While the actor somewhat agrees, he believes that Kipps can become better at performing, as long as he is there to help.
- Slide: 3
- I apologise. I am clearly wasting your time.
- Stay where you are.
- This is a foolish adventure. I should never have come.
- Kipps doesn't believe that he will be able to perform the manuscript with such a high amount of emotion, even with the actors help. But the actor is still confident that he can help Kipps.
