  • June 26, 1892, Dr. Jose Rizal arrived in Manila, Philippines, from Europe via Hong Kong, accompanied by his sister Lucia. And then, proceeded to Malacañang Palace to meet Governor-General Eulogio Despujol.Suddenly, he was arrested by the officials.
  • Goodbye my beloved sister.Take care of yourself.
  • HUHUHU......
  • Last hours of Rizal. At 6:00 A.M., December 29, 1896, Captain Rafael Dominguez, read the death sentence to Rizal to be shot at the back by a firing squad at 7:00 A.M. in Bagumbayan.
  • Before you reprehend him, look within yourselves. All he wanted was an equal treatment of the Spaniards to the Filipinos.
  • Anyone, who will go against the country's will is to be punished and sentenced to death! Which is rightful to Dr. Jose Rizal !!!
  • This tribunal condemns, Don Jose Rizal Mercado y Alonso with the penalty of death !!!
  • After the kangaroo trial, At 7:00 A.M., an hour after the reading of the death sentence Rizal was escorted to his cell in Fort Santiago to make use of his remaining time. His last 24 hours was his busiest life – as if trying to meet the deadline. 
  • The judgment was not fair! They didn't even give us a chance to defend more!
  • I'm ashamed to you and to all Filipinos because of what happened. I'm so sorry my beloved friend.
  • Don't worry. It's okay my friend. Thank you for all that you've done.
  • THAT'S ENOUGH !
  • At 4:00 P.M., Rizal’s mother arrived. He asked forgiveness, they were both crying when the guards separated them.
  • My beloved mother, please get my dead body after the execution and burry it at the foot of the mountain with one stone and cross. I'm sorry for all that I've done. Thank you and goodbye.
  • HUHUHU......
  • Shortly afterwards Trinidad entered the cell to fetch her mother. As they were leaving Rizal whispered that “there is something inside the alcohol cooking stove” Trinidad understood. This “something” was Rizal’s farewell poem.

  • My beloved sister. I will tell the officials to give it to you after my death, there's something inside. Thank you.
