In this scene, Paris and Juliet meet up with Friar Lawrence at his cell. Paris and Juliet talk to Friar for a bit. Then, Paris leaves and Juliet opens up to Friar Lawrence and tells him that she would rather kill herself than marry Paris. This led to Friar Lawrence trying to create a plan for Juliet.
At the start of this scene, Lord Capulet is arranging the marriage for Paris and Juliet. With the plan from Friar Lawrence, Juliet comes to Lord Capulet and tells her about it. Lord Capulet becomes happy and wants to push the marriage to Wednesday instead of Thursday. But, Lady Capulet wants the marriage to be on Thursday so that she can prepare food. Lord Capulet said he would arrange it for Wednesday and do everything himself.
In this scene, Juliet becomes very fearful of marrying Paris. She says that a dagger will be her option instead of marrying Paris. She says that the sounds and smells of the ghosts would make her go crazy.
In this scene, the arrangements for the wedding are continued. The servants joke around with Lord Capulet about him having to do the "women's work." At the end of the scene Nurse is told to wake Juliet up and enhance her looks and get her looking beter.
