Toussaint read as many books as he could as a child, written by French philosophers, and eventually joined the slave rebellion.
The Jacobins took control of the government within France, eventually voting to end slavery within French colonies, such as Haiti.
Toussaint and Napoleon both agree to be at peace with each other, and Napoleon invites Toussaint over to have a peaceful meeting with him.
Napoleon betrayed the safeness of the meeting that Toussaint agreed to, and sent Toussaint away into a dungeon where he later died to a mixture of coldness, starvation, and overall neglect.
