- Hey Maggie! did you start studying for our math test next week
- Not yet Ron, I usually study the night before, I feel like I get my best study sessions in by cramming
- Flashforward to the Night Before Maggie and Ron's Math Test
- Wow! There certainly was a lot of material for this exam I'm glad I studied in advance. By doing so I had more time to encode this information from my short term to long-term memory which will help me to recall it on the test!
- There's so much information! I definitely didn't study in time! I don't think I'll be able remember this for the test tomorrow!
- Yes! I remember all of this information good thing I took the time to spread out my studying!
- I remember that I looked at this information, but I don't know how to use it. I'm done cramming, I wish I was able to recall
- Hey Maggie! How'd you do on the math test?
- Yea, cramming only allows information to be stored in your short-term memory, since it wasn't encoded into you're long term memory that's what probably made it harder for you to recall. I'm willing to show you my studying skills so you can ace the next one!
- Not good I got a 64, I should have spread out my study sessions and taken breaks when needed so that I could properly encode and recall the information for the test
