This battle took place in New Jersey on December 26th, 1776. George Washington was led this section of the Patriots, his plan was to make it across the river by 12:00 a.m. , but they ended up getting there around 4 in the morning. So the soldiers were freaking out because they didn't know whether the British soldiers were sleeping or not. George Washington decided to stay and fight the British, resulting in a great victory. The U.S. ended up killing around 905 British soldiers, and the British killing 5 U.S. soldiers.

The Battle of Sullivan's Island, June 28, 1776, was the mighty British navy's first test in southern waters. Nine warships mounting nearly 270 guns (cannon) were soundly defeated by Colonel William Moultrie and about 400 Continental soldiers defending an uncompleted fort.
