- The Pharaoh was jealous of Jacob's descendants and forced the Israelites into slavery. He deemed that all Hebrew boys must be killed @ birth @ the Nile River.
- 100% a basket
- However, one woman saves her child by putting him a drift a papyrus basket. The pharaohs daughter found him and named him Moses
- YEARS LATER
- Moses kills and Egyptian for beating an Israelite worker. In fear, he fled to Midian. There a meets Jethro, a priest, & marries his daughter and living his life as a shepherd.
- GOD AS BUSH
- God shows himself to Moses as a burning bush in worry for the Israelites safety. God says he has a plan & tells Moses to go back to Egypt to carry it out. Moses says no because he doesn't trust himself to do a good job. God gets mad and tells Moses to take his brother Aaron with him and gives Moses a staff to do miracles with. They return to Egypt and the Moses shows the Miracles but the Pharaoh is unimpressed. In turn God causes 10 plagues upon them. After all that he releases the Israelites and Moses says they have to commemorate this day forever and dedicating their first child to God and they must celebrate Passover for God's protection.
- Moses leads the Israelites west, towards the sea. After the Israelites complaints Moses parts the sea. The Pharaoh, who was following ects the sea closed on him and his army trying to follow. After this they trust Moses, God supplies to food etc. God gives the Israelites power to defeat Amalekite people.
- 3 MONTHS LATER
- God gives Moses the 10 commandments and says how everyone must follow them. God says that as long as people follow he will keep their covenant. God has Moses build a temple. Later Moses finds the Israelite are worshiping a golden calf which is against the commandments. Moses begs God to forgive them and keep their covenant and God forgives as long as they follow the rules he's set for them.
