- In search for glory, Beowulf enters the scorching dragon's lair, challenging the beast to a fateful duel. I've never known fear, as a youth I fought In endless battles. I am old, now, But I will fight again, seek fame still, If the dragon hiding in his tower dares To face me."
- TODAY IS YOUR LAST STAND!!
- In the heat of battle, Beowulf's sword snaps upon contact with the dragon's scaly body. The seemingly invincible Beowulf is left practically defenseless. “ He knew it , but he raised his sword and struck at the dragon's scaly hide. The ancient blade broke , bit into the monster’s skin, drew blood, but cracked. And failed him before it went deep enough, helped him less than he needed.”
- MY SWORD! IT'S BROKEN!
- The only other knight loyal enough to the heroic code, a steadfast Wiglaf jumps to Beowulf's aid and catapults himself off of a boulder onto the dragon's tail. " Wiflaf's mind was made up; he raised his yellow shield and drew his sword."
- WIGLAF!
- Like a true friend and warrior, I'm with you until the end!
- In one fell swoop, Wiglaf slices off the dragon's tail! "They had felled their foe, bravely taking its life, and the two had together brought down the dragon, as noble kinsmen. Thus should a thane always act in time of need!"
- Beowulf has been bitten by the dragon and it was venomous. Beowulf was dying. 'I thank God that I can give my people these gifts of gold. But you must see to the people's needs now, Wiglaf. I cannot be here any more.
- OW!!
- Beowulf! Your neck! You've been biten.
- Wiglaf reverently hands Beowulf his sword to deliver the final blow to the dragon. A dying Beowulf knows this will be his last act, so he closes his eyes and sinks the sword through the dragon's skull. As he puts the sword into the dragon's head, he lays down and closes his eyes, and prepares to enter the everlasting.
