That night when I came home from school, my mom talked to me about how the traditional food she packed for me was a part of my culture.
Everyone made fun of my food! Why can't you just pack me regular American food like everyone else!
FROM THEN ON, I LEARNED TO EMBRACE MY BANGLADESHI CULTURE AND NOT LET OTHERS OPINIONS OR PREJUDICES DISSUADE ME FROM BEING MYSELF. I EVENTUALLY FOUND NEW FRIENDS IN MY UNFAMILIAR ENVIRONMENT WHO ACCEPTED ME FOR WHO I WAS.
