Storyboard Text
I have been wanting to do this since the first time I learned how to walk.
I am a big man of science which would mean i would need a huge thermometer , sitting across from me.Lets cut to the chase.
An exothermic reaction is lets out heat when the temperature of the surrounding object goes on increasing.
An example of an exothermic reaction is the freezing of water. The water slowly loses heat to the surrounding cold air.
Kyle, what is a exothermic reaction?
An example of a catalyst of water freezing is alcohol.
An endothermic reaction is a chemical reaction in which the reactants absorb heat energy from the surroundings to form products.
An example of an endothermic reaction is the melting of ice to form water .
And what is a endothermic reaction?
A catalyst of melting ice is rock salt.
No you got it all wrong.
Isn't heat and temperature the same?
Temperature describes the average kinetic energy of molecules within a material or system and is measured in Celsius.
Heat describes the transfer between molecules within a system . Which is measured in Joules.
Thanks for giving me the answer to the homework.I better go write it down to get an A.
Then what is the difference?
