  • hello! My name is Alyssa, and I'd like to share what I know, so our topic for today is volcano, oh I guess you already what volcano is, However, there are still certain aspects about the volcano that you don't know, which I'll explain now, so are you ready? i hope you are.
  • TYPES OF ERUPTION:3.Strombolian and Hawaiian eruptions-These are the least violent types of explosive eruptions. Hawaiian eruptions have fire fountains and lava flows, whereas Strombolian eruptions have explosions causing a shower of lava fragments.4. Vulcanian eruptions-Vulcanian eruptions are small to moderate explosive eruptions, lasting seconds to minutes. Ash columns can be up to 20 km in height, and lava blocks and bombs may be ejected from the vent.5.Subplinian and Plinian eruptions-Eruptions with a high rate of magma discharge, sustained for minutes to hours. They form a tall, convective eruption column of a mixture of gas and rock particles, and can cause wide dispersion of ash. Subplinian eruption columns are up to 20 km high, and are relatively unsteady, whereas Plinian eruptions have 20 to 35 km tall columns which may collapse to form pyroclastic density currents (PDC’s). Very rare Ultraplinian eruptions are even larger and have a higher magma discharge rate than Plinian eruptions.
  • now you already know what is volcano but sometimes or maybe you get confused what is difference between mountain and volcano, will i must say that is easy to tell what their difference because, a volcano have lava or magma while mountain don't have that, a volcano is formed when the tectonic plate pushed beneath another while mountain if formed due to geological processes like the movement and opposition of tectonic plate also a volcano can erupt while volcano can't.
  • types of volcano based frequency of eruption, do you know what the two types? its active and inactive volcano. so when we consider that is active or inactive volcano?, according to expert we can say o we can assume that, that is inactive volcano when it doesn't have history of eruption in past 10,000 years and ofcource its consider as active volcano if it has record of eruption within the last 10,000 years however Even though it is considered as inactive volcano, there is still a "potential or chance that it will erupt" .
  • now we move with the "type of volcano based on structure/material they made of":1.SHIELD VOLCANO2.CINDER CONE VOLCANO3.COMPOSITE VOLCANO
  • so "how volcano erupt"?,-"volcano erupt when molten magma rises to the surface," a Magma is extremely hot liquid and semi-liquid rock located under Earth's surface. This magma can push through holes or cracks in the crust, causing a volcanic eruption. When magma flows or erupts onto Earth's surface, it is called "lava". Like solid rock, magma is a mixture of minerals.
