Storyboard Text

  • Ismene, I am going to bury him. Will you come? (Sophocles Prologue).
  • After the death of their brothers, Polyneices and Eteocles, only Eteocles got the proper burial because he was the only brother who died while saving Thebes in Creon's eyes. When Antigone gets the great idea to bury her other brother Polyneices, her sister Ismene disagrees. Ismene believes Antigone should just listen to Creon's burial law and give it up.
  • But think of the danger! Think what Creon will do! (Sohpocles Prologue).
  • When Polyneices was found buried, the Sentry and his men ran to Creon to tell him the news. The Sentry and his men swore they weren't the ones to bury him. Creon then sends the Sentry on a mission to find who did this and bring him to Creon.
  • The dead man- Polyneices- Someone has given it burial that way and... gone (Sophocles, Scene 1).
  • Find me that man; bring him here to me, or your death will be the least of your problems (Sophocles, Scene 1).
  • When Antigone was caught, she was brought before Creon. He didn't believe it at first, but after Antigone confirming it, he sentenced her to death.
  • Here is the one who did it! We caught her in the very act of burying him (Sophocles, Scene 2).
  • But this is Antigone! (Sophocles, Scene 2).
