- All day at school, during lunch and passing periods, Rose hid out in the bathroom, afraid to run into Jessica and her crew. After school, Rose waited until everyone was gone before walking home. She was devastated that she was made fun of for not having a phone! That's when it hit her- a brilliant idea! Rose was determined to find her mom's wallet, so she could use her credit card and buy herself a phone. Then, she wouldn't feel so left out and like a loser, but wait, where could she find her mom's wallet? The first place she decided to look was her parent's office.
- Rose entered her 1st period with a couple minutes to spare! As she was looking for a seat to take, Jessica, the school bully, stepped in front of Rose and said, "How rich are you? Like do you have money, money?" Rose was shocked and dumbfounded. Her worst fear was happening and she couldn't find her words to speak. Her stomach felt like it was in her throat. Jessica spoke up, "I know how to tell, what kind of phone do you have?" "Oh, I don't have one," replied Rose.
- "WHAT!! How do you not have a phone!? You're broke!"
- As Rose enters her school and is headed to her first class, she is filled with excitement. At the same time she has nerves and butterflies in her stomach since she is trying to anticipate what her first encounters will be like.
