- Melanie was sitting in her booth ingoring the teaching machine. She began dreaming about flamingos. from the pictures she had seen in old books she knew they had long necks and webbed feet and that they were as pink as a rose.

- Her parnets agreged to going to natiol park and seeing the birds. She was as happy as a puppy. They took a helicopter to the natial park.

- Meline fround a flamingo while she was walking around and she decided to touch it. When she touched it it fell over. Meline was defostated.she had now resiled that flamingos are exntint.

- Her caretaker was tellig har how flamingos have been gone for a while.They new that people wanted to see a flamingo so the put a one at the end of the lake so people can see one.
- Melanie picked up the firbird an put it back after she stoped crying.She wisperd Goodbye and truned around and walked back.
- Melanie has now gronw up since socetiy thought her how to deal with things she is not happy with.
