- This play is set in the small cottage in teh wilds of Esexx in which lives Gerrard, a well-educated playwright.
- An intruder enters a cottage with a gun and threatens to shoot Gerrard so as to steal his identity. Gerard is not afraid of the man and calmly answers his questions, but he quickly conceives a false story to dodge the man and save his own life.
- Gerrard was gonna go somewhere.While he is busy packing his bag, an intruder sneaks into his cottage with a gun in his hand.
- Seeing Gerard being nonchalant, he points the gun at Gerrard and threatens him.
- you'll soon stop being smart. I'll make you crawl.. Sit down there and listen to me.
- The intruder wants to know the details about Gerard before killing him so that he could imitate him well. He enquires about his car and the visitors who come to his house. Gerrard is not at all afraid of the intruder and he very calmly answers all the questions in a nonchalant manner.
- I am being chased by the police as I killed a policeman He further says, While I was in the town, I saw you and heard from people that you hardly meet anyone and order your things on phone. This us your big surprise. I'm going to kill you and live as Vincent Charles Gerrard in this cottage peacefully. I know how to talk like you do, and i've only got to wear specs and i'll be enough like you,
- He quickly conceives a false story to dodge the intruder and save his own life.
- I too am a criminal, and the police have evidence against me. If you steal my identity, even then you would be chased by the police! He further reveals, I am carrying false moustaches so that I can disguise myself and hide from the police. Unfortunately, one of my men has been arrested and found things the fool should have burnt. Tonight im expecting trouble. My bag's packed ready to clear off. There it is.
- Gerrard convinces the intruder and picks up the bag and his hat
- The time has come to leave this place for ever. Police can reach here any time. You can come with me in my car. If you feel that I am lying, you can kill me in the car
- Careful boss, Im watching you
