- One day grandfather was on a tonga and saw a small mischievous#160;but adorable baby monkey named toto he was tied on a rope onto the tonga and his eyes looked like marble and his hands as if they have been pickled for years. Grandfather bought him for 5 rupees.
- Once they brought him back to home, they hid him behind a peg fastened to a wall and hid him since grandmother wasn't#160;very fond of animals. But soon he escaped from that spot and grandfather told that he was a clever monkey.
- Grandfather decided to keep toto in the servants quarters where there were my pet goat nana, a rabbit and tortoise, but toto didn't let his animal friends sleep at night. Later, grandfather took toto with him to Saharanpur#160;to collect his pension and to hide toto from grandmother. In the coming events, grandmother finally accepted#160;toto
- Toto would use a specific way for bathing, he would put one foot in intelligently to check the temperature of the water and then put the other foot which he has learned from me. One day he was nearly successful in boiling himself alive, since he had nothing else to do he went to the boiling pot of on the stove and went in it and when he wanted to get out he felt it was cold and went back in, after grandmother came in, she removed him off the pot.
- One day, at lunch time, a large dish of pullao on the center of the dining table. When we entered the room to find toto stuffing himself with rice, grandmother screamed-toto threw a plate at her, one of my aunts rushed forward-and received a glass of water on her face. When grandfather arrived, toto took the dish and jumped out of the window and went on top of the jackfruit tree, he remained there all afternoon, determined to eat every last grain, and when grandmother screamed at him, toto threw the dish at her. Because of toto's mischievous#160;behavior#160;and nor could they afford constant loss of dishes, they gave toto back to the tonga driver for 3#160;rupees#160;.
