- This is the story of how Thomas Hooker found Hartford.
- Sick Mrs. Hooker
- Thomas Hooker was a church minister. And they wanted to leave Massachusetts and start a town in the Connecticut River Valley. They had 3 reasons why they should leave. One there was not enough land to cattle. Two the land of Connecticut is rich and fertile. Three they had a strong spiritual feeling that they should move.

- This is where Hartford I will be the church minister.

- soon it was june and the flowers started to bloom. Thomas Hooker and his group started their journey. They followed indian trails for two weeks.
- Hartford growing
- On the journey Thomas Hooker's wife became ill and had to be carried on a bed while they followed the trail.
- Thomas Hooker's group found Hartford and Hartford became a town. Then Thomas Hooker became the church minister.
- In a year Hartford grew and had more then 800 people living in it.
