There are many differences between the sun gods, Egyptian mythos details that the sun has many forms. In Greek mythos the sun is represented by many gods. In Both Aztec and African mythos they are represented by a single god. In Chinese mythos it was an archer who shot down the suns and wasn't even a god.
A sun god is significant because many civilizations needed a belief in how or why something was the way it was. The sun was part of everyday life and is a powerful symbol in the sky that never leaves. Many cultures personified this object because is was powerful and helped in many things.
