- In this scene Elizabeth, the mom is waking up Sylvie in order to leave and go on a trip. It is only the 2 of them, and they are leaving due to disrespect and femineity issues.

- Yes you do. Because yer the smartest,” “And because yer a woman.”
- Why me? Do I have to go
- Here Sylvie questions her mom about why she has to go. Her mom gives her a straight forward answer with talking about how she is a women. Due to the strong disrespect and bad look at the women in the house, they are leaving to teach the men a lesson. They want to be known and learn about who they really are on this trip. The mom also wants to teach her daughter about lessons on how to act on this disrespect.

- Portrayed in this scene is Elizabeth being hesitant and scared to leave. She is most likely scared of her husband but decided to be courageous and go. She tells her daughter to move. None of the boys or the husband know about their leave. After this they go on their for long trip to learn about themselves and make each other stronger to stand up for themselves.
