  • We’re going to take action if you all don’t stop this right now!

  • Many people gathered to protest on this day because they were demanding better working conditions. Unfortunately, things took a terrible turn when they were shot, leading to a tragic massacre. This event made more people want a socialist society. It also showed how weak and ineffective Tsar Nicholas II was as a ruler.

  • The Bolsheviks, who were led by Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky, managed to successfully take down the government. They created a socialist state, with Lenin in charge and Trotsky serving as the People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs.

  • Now what we need to focus on is how to improve our people, and I believe that the three important things are peace, bread, and land!
  • Lenin started giving speeches to the public and introduced the ideas of Peace, Bread, and Land. He ended the war by pulling out of it, helped provide food and land by sharing it with the peasants, and made sure cities got enough food. He came up with a catchy slogan, aiming to make life better for everyone.

  • Joseph Stalin took over as the leader of the Soviet Union after Vladimir Lenin passed away. He aimed to quickly modernize the country and strengthen its military through a set of 5-year plans. However, these plans caused a lot of economic problems, which made many people rise up against him.

  • Absolutely not! We require a constant revolution! They should be present everywhere!
  • Over time, Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky realized they had very different ideas. Trotsky thought that the revolution should keep going until communism was established all over the world, which he called Permanent Revolution. On the other hand, Stalin believed the Soviet Union should concentrate on building socialism at home. This disagreement led to a lot of conflicts, and eventually, Leon Trotsky was forced to leave the Soviet Union.
