I work from sunrise to sunset, losing all my strength and still get paid nothing compared to you.
We all should have higher wages because of the horrible conditions we withstand everyday and the career changes we've taken.
I don't want to work anymore, I cut my skin everyday with the machinery.
I'm sick right now brother and I can barely breathe but we have to hide our discomfort or else we will be fired.
We need this job to help mom and dad or else we will starve.
Faints due to exhaustion
I CAN EASILY FIRE YOU WHENEVER I WANT
Workers had from 12 to 16 working hours, six to seven days a week. Women were more employed than men, yet men were paid twice of what they gave to women. The factories were dangerous and people got easily injured and sick. They lived and worked. Some people such as artisans had to change their jobs to become poorly paid factory workers as machines started replacing their duties.

1) Child labor was common in order to prevent families from starving. Kids worked in dust and had to do different tasks under machinery (without safety devices) in order to gain a payment. They also did not receive any tipe of education.2) Workers labored in an environment with dirt and polluted air (which damaged the lungs) allowing workers to be prone to diseases and accidents. However, if workers were found to be sick or injured they were fired.
Our lives have improved so much since the reforms!
