Storyboard Text

  • Act 1
  • My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.
  • You kiss by th' book.
  • I'll tell thee as we pass; but this I pray, That thou consent to marry us today.
  • Act 2
  • Come , come with me, and we will make short work, For, by your leaves, you shall not stay alone till Holy Church incorporate two in one
  • Act 3
  • Either thou or I, or both, must go with him.
  • Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here, shalt with him hence.
  • Romeo wants to convince Rosalind to be with him and he goes to a Capulet party to do so. While at the party, he meets Juliet, who he immediately falls in love with. He starts talking to her, they start flirting, and then they kiss. By the end of this meeting they have both fallen in love.
  • Act 4
  • I hear thou must, and nothing may prorogue it, On Thursday next be married to this County.
  • Romeo and Juliet have fallen in love and both decided that they want to marry. Friar Lawerence decides to marry them because it might end the Capulet-Montegue feud of Juliet and Romeo's families. They get married and plan to meet in Juliets room that night.
  • Act 5
  • Come, cordial and not poison, go with me to Juliet's grave; for there must I use thee.
  • Here's to my love! O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.
  • Tybalt wants to fight Romeo, but Romeo tries to make peace. While Romeo is trying to calm them down, Tybalt kills Mercutio. Romeo is extremely mad about this and he kills Tybalt in response. Because of this, Romeo is banished from Verona to Mantua.
  • Act 5
  • Oh brother Montague, give me your hand. This is my daughter's dowry. I can ask your for nothing more.
  • Juliet is supposed to marry County Paris, but she can't because she is already married to Romeo. The Friar comes up with a plan in which Juliet will drink a potion. The potion will make her appear dead for two days. Juliet will be put in a tomb and Romeo will pick her up when she wakes. They will then go to Mantua until the Friar figures something out.
  • Tell me not, friar, that thou hearest of this, unless thou tell me how I may prevent it.
  • Hold, daughter. I do spy a kind of hope
  • Romeo gets a message that Juliet is dead before he gets the message from the Friar telling him the plan. So, thinking Juliet is really dead, Romeo buys poison and goes to Juliet's tomb. There, he drinks the poison and kills himself. Moments later, Juliet awakes, and, seeing that Romeo is dead, she takes his dagger and kills herself.
  • Lord Montague and Lord Capulet meet at the tomb and the Frair tells them what happened. The prince asks servants and looks at letters to find out that it is all true. Everyone is in grief and Lord Capulet and Lord Montague make peace.
  • We settle a dark peace this morning...There was never a story more full of pain than the story of Romeo and Juliet.
