  • Slide: 1
  • Panel 1: PreparationIn this panel, the player stands at the free throw line with their feet shoulder-width apart. Their knees are slightly bent, and they are holding the basketball with both hands — their dominant hand under the ball and their guide hand on the side. The player focuses their eyes on the rim to aim carefully. Their body is balanced and still, showing concentration and readiness before taking the shot.
  • Panel 2: ExecutionIn this panel, the player begins the shooting motion. They bend their knees slightly deeper and then push upward, extending their legs and arms at the same time. The shooting hand pushes the ball upward toward the basket while the guide hand helps keep it steady. The ball leaves the player’s fingertips with a smooth flick of the wrist. The motion is controlled and fluid.

  • Panel 3: Follow-ThroughIn this final panel, the player holds their shooting pose after releasing the ball. Their arm remains extended with their wrist bent forward, often called a “gooseneck” position. Their eyes follow the ball as it travels toward the basket. Maintaining this follow-through helps improve accuracy and control. The body stays balanced until the shot is completed.
