- My grade 3 students already know the basic grammar and can form sentences.
- Students, do you see this picture. Now Alex, Give me a sentence that comes to your mind after looking at this picture.
- Yes ma'am. There was a girl in the park.
- Review the lesson plan before the class
- Today we will write our own stories using this picture.
- Use visual Aid and display a picture. Ask the students to speak one sentence each to form a story chain.
- Today we will learn how to properly format our story. How to begin it, How to make it interesting and how to end it.
- As each student adds up a sentence, a story starts to form. continue this till all students get a chance to add their sentences.
- Students, remember we learned the story writing format yesterday, Today we will use it and this picture to make our own story.
- Day 2:Provide a picture prompt and ask the students to write their own stories
- Day 3:Students already know how to write a story using a picture. Now discuss the proper format of creative writing using the story they made on DAY 1.
- Day 4:A quick review of format, Write it on the black/whiteboard. Provide a picture prompt and ask the students to write a story of their own using the format and the picture prompt.
