Please give a warm welcome to our guest speakers from St. Sofia Church Youth Group, Runa and Clarisse! We have much to learn from these exceptional young women.
Hi, everyone! While we wait for Runa to get up here, I just wanted to thank everyone for coming. We are such a varied crowd- children, parents, adults- all united by faith.
A ring sounds through the gym, drawing the attention of the crowd to the stage, where the principal, as well as two teenage girls, stand. The group is full of people meeting to consider baptism in the next year.

Right! God takes the initiative in this. His favor is a gift that he offers us all, and Baptism represents us accepting this.
What even is baptism? It's basically the basis of the whole Christian life. Baptism fundamentally changes our relationship with God, as we are reborn as his child.
Baptism is the first sacrament this audience may accept, and the entrance into God's family and His Grace.

According to our teaching, we are born into a condition of alienation from God. Baptism cleanses this tendency to sin, bringing us into God.
When Jesus died on the cross, he freed us from the weight of all our sin, giving us the chance to live with God
Baptism offers salvation from sin and death for all of us, a chance for us to share in the life of the Trinity.
Baptism saves us from sin. Sin includes original sin, which is the sin we inherit, as well as our personal sin, which arises from the choices we make.
