Storyboard Text

  • We climbed, then briskly to the cave. But Cyclops had gone afield, to pasture his fat sheep, we eventually started to look at everything inside: a drying rack sagged with cheeses, pens, crowded with lambs and kids.
  • Here they are sitting at the fire as the Cyclops comes back to the cave with dry boughs on his shoulder to stoke his fire for suppertime. Then over the broad cavern floor he ushered the ewes he meant to milk, he left his rams and goats outside.
  • As time passes he milked his ewes and made his supper. Finally he took a glare at them and said "Strangers? Who are you and Where from?"
  • They tell him where they are from, who they are, and how they got there as he milks the ewes.
  • We cyclops care not a whistle for your thundering Zeus; we have more force by far. I will not let you go for fear of Zeus unless I had a whim to.
  • We are from Troy, Achaeans, blown off course by shifting gales on the Great South sea. It was our luck to come here; we stand behold for your help or any gifts, as custom is to honor strangers. We will entreat you, great sir, have care for the gods; Zeus will avenge the unoffending guest.
  • As they talk more as the time passes, they offer him so wine.
  • Give me another, thank you kindly. Tell me how are you called? I'll make you a gift that will please you.
  • Cyclops, try some wine, here's liquor to wash down your scraps of men.
  • Cyclops ended up drinking every little drop and fell into a deep sleep. Odysseus and his men saw the chance and stabbed him in the eye.
  • You blinded me!
  • Odysseus and the Cyclops somewhat have a argument because he stabbed him in the eye.
