  • The British sighed a treaty with the Cherokee in order to prevent the Cherokee from trading furs with the French.
  • No more trading with the natives. Maybe this will end the war.

  • The Cherrokee thought that they were equal but the British thought they had power over them. When the time came to protect the Cherrokee from the French and Indian war, the British did not come to there aid.
  • You will never take our land!
  • This war has gone on for two long! just give up!
  • Cherokee warriors, feeling cheated by the British, took possession of horses belonging to settlers. British settlers attacked and the Cherokee retaliated.
  • The royal governor of South Carolina tried to control the Cherokee by stopping all trade and taking Cherokee peace representatives as hostages. Unfortuanty, this only fuled the fire to starty the Cherokee War.
  • The British won the war which gave them lots of the Cherokees land. The war lasted around two years and ended up killing much of the Cherokee natives.
