Our country is blessed with diverse and unique creature, but due to human interference, many are on the verge of extinction. The government of India has taken several steps to protect flora and fauna.
The biosphere reserve is divided into 3 interlinked zones :-1.Core zone - It is the innermost zone that comprises of a strictly protected area where no human activity is allowed 2.Buffer zone- It is the middle zone that surrounds the core and it issued for activities relating to scientific research, training and education 3.Transition zone- It is the outermost zone surrounding the buffer zone and is used for non-destructive human activities including agriculture, housing for tribal people and tourism The government of India has established 18 biosphere reserves which include one or more national parks or wildlife sanctuaries.
National Parks - National parks are areas that are strictly reserved to persevere biodiversity, landscape and history of that region. All development activities are prohibited in these regions. People can only enter the buffer zone. There are 103 national parks in India
