- What did you learn in Texas History
- I learned about the eras of Texas History.The first one is The Contact Era
- In the age of contact in 1519 spanish conquistadors landed in what we call mexico and a bunch of other states such as Texas, Alabama, North and south carolina
- During the Spanish Colonial Era, A bunch of priests came and put the native americans in these things called missions to make them more like them. They made colleges and a future important fortress named the Alamo
- In the Mexican National period. Spain had ruled over the Mexican-Texan area for over 300 years. The Mexican revolution lasted from 1810 to 1821. The war ended with the Treaty of Coroba
- In the Texas Revolution period the settler that moved in to what we now call Texas did not like the way that the mexicans were treating them so they revolted against Mexico the war lasted for only one year it started with the Battle of Gonzales in which the Texans hid a cannon and ended with the battle of San Jacinto in which the Texans captured Santa Ana.
- Texas became a state 7 years after the Texas Revolution.In between that 7 year time Texas was its own country The Republic of Texas . After Texas joined the USA the Civil War period happened, and in which Texas joined the Confederacy. The war lasted for 5 years, in which many Texans fought in the war but very few battles were fought in Texas. The Civil War ended with a win for the Union.
