- I'm the Tariff of 1828. I mainly benefit the Northern states because their products become cheaper, as for the South, it becomes more expensive because they mainly rely on foreign goods.
- We are not afraid to secede if the law is not changed!
- We should be able to nullify this law! It is harder to afford things now, because we rely on foreign goods. We have every right to nullify the federal law.
- Protective Tariffs, more like Tariff of Abominations! SC should be able to nullify this law!
- I can go as far as resigning from my position as Vice President, to support South Carolina and all of the other Southern States in their fight against the Protective Tariffs, and I am.
- Don't forget I have the Force Bill of 1833 on my side! I'm not afraid to use the Military to get this settled, my way!

- What is John C. Calhoun talking about? The Union has always been the #1 priority no matter what the issue is! The South will find a way to manage. The North is more important.
