- Jude helps Kennedy with getting ready for her scene. In the midst of it they began to learn a little more about each other. After Jude says she is from Louisiana Kennedy says "No kidding. So is my mother. I'm from here" (Bennett 224). Then they continued to say "You don't know anyone named Vingens, do you?" Kennedy called after her, "That's my mother's name. Or was her name Or was her name." She glanced over her shoulder. "Estelle Vignes. But everyone calls her Stella" (Bennett 245).
- What do they talk about?
- While Kennedy and Jude was at the party having drinks Kennedy decided to say, "You're really lucky, you know," she said. She was still smiling but meanness wedge inside her voice..."Nothing. But you know. Nobody really expects someone like him to be with you, do they?" Kennedy laughed. "You know I don't mean anything by it. I'm just saying. Your men usually like light girls, don't they?" (Bennett 281). Due to this being said, it made Jude blackout and follow up with telling her the truth.

- Stella and Peg were speaking on Kennedy and her choices on school and her future in Pegs office. In the midst Peg asks Stella "So tell me," she'd said. "What's your story?" (Bennett 258). Once she was asked this Stella began to fidget in a nerves way and began to think about her secret life.
