- I'm now hosting a challenge for my future husband. String Odysseus' bow and shoot it through the ax handles .
- Odysseus returned home after 20 years back to Ithica. He went to his palace where he found suitors over running the place. His wife is clearly stressed and the suitors are being terrible guests. Penelope then decides to create a challenge to deal with the suitors.
- I will win
- I am Odysseus. I will disguise myself as a beggar and compete in the competition. Do I have your loyalty?
- We are with you Odysseus!

- "Stand up, then: we now declare a contest for that prize. Here is my Lord Odyesseus' hunting bow. Bend and string it if you can. Who send an arrow through iron ax helve sockets, twelve in a line?
- Hello it is me my son. I am your father Odysseus. Will you help me fight these suitors.

- With this challenge presented Odysseus calmly volunteered to attempt. He gazed over his bow, and with no effort at all, quickly strung the bow in one fluid motion. All was silent. He then pulled back and shot the bow through all 12 ax heads with ease
