With the Europeans gaining power, they started gaining in population causing them to trade for Indian land .
As the Europeans were gaining land, they ran themselves into a tribe who was against giving up land. They got themselves into the Pequot War that wiped out more than 700 Indians by burning or killing them.
After the devastating deaths of Indians, Massasoit protected the Wampanoag people by making them convert to European traits. He did this to make the Europeans believe he is with them.
So the Indians were moved to praying towns that were led by the Europeans to help convert the Indians to Christianity.
Shortly after, the chief of the Wampanoag, Massasoit, died. His son, Phillip, was the new chief in these troubling times. One of his first acts was removing the use of land to be tradable to the Europeans. The Europeans weren't happy about this.
With tensions heating up, the Europeans summoned Philip to discuss about war rumors. The Europeans told the Indians to give up all there guns so no war couldn't be brought upon.
Furious the Indians were at the Europeans, they finally went through on atacking. They started going through neighboring cities the Europeans had and set them on fire. This would be known as the King Philip's War.
