  • Hi little brother, do you want to know more about the history of religions? And It's Purpose?
  • Oh! Yes of course!
  • Well, first of all lets start by talking about whats a religion is... A religion is a set of beliefs about God or the supernatural.
  • Wow!
  • What is the purpose of a religion?
  • The purpose of a religion is to bring a huge group of followers to gather to follow one single belief and work with another to build up this belief and increase practitioners.
  • Most polytheisticreligions tendto keep their practices amongthemselves and do not force other believersto convert and spread messages. They did not oppresstheir beliefs upon other people. These religions also had less bloodshedand accepted each other'sconcepts. Untilthe monotheismera emerged...
  • Monotheism brought people to single beliefs and motivated to conquer other lands and territories politically, spiritualyand spread their message across, Most of the times monotheismpracticersfought wars among themselves to prove that their claims are right and the opposing is false.
  • Over all, some religions made it to this day and some of them ran out of logic for people to even believe in. Everyone with their religions have strong emotions and connections towards them and they will commit anything for its protection and for their descendants to carry on the concepts. That is why a bunch of these monotheismreligions fought for death to protect their faith and to obey their Gods commands.
  • Ohhhh.... Now I know a lot more about culture. Thank you very much!
