- Gold: To be able to get hands on vast treasure and artifacts to become rich.
- God: To spread Christianity/Catholicism to the Native Americans.
- Glory: To become famous and well known among their country.
- I'm here to map the Texas Gulf Coast and was the first European to explore this place. I'm Pineda and this is 1519 where I explored the Texas Coast.
- I first was on a expedition to Florida then when I was coming back a tropical storm happened. After this I was forced to be shipwrecked on a island called Galveston. The local Karankawa were nice enough to feed and take care of me and my men. Eventaully me and my 7 men who were left alive traveled around Texas in the course of 8 years. I was eneventaully able to come back to Mexico City and told stories of 7 golden cites which got Spain's interest in Texas.I'm Cabeza de Vaca and this happened during 1526-1536. I was the Galveston Island.
- I was sent after Fray Marcos de Niza ater he failed his mission with a thousand men. Because of Cabeza de Vaca stories of stories of the 7 golden cities we were sent to explore Texas to find its riches. Me and my men didn't find the city of gold but the many landmarks that scattered the country and the Pacific Ocean. Sadly the absence of gold made Spain lose interest in Texas until 1685. I´m Francisco Vasques de Coronado and this happened during 1540 which was at the Great Plains and the Mountains and Basins Regions in Texas.
- I was a famous french explorer before this. I actually was trying to start a colony in the mouth of the Mississippi River but accidentally landed at Matagorda Bay in 1685. I build fort and tried to have a nice relationship with the local Karankawa, but they sadly didn't share the same feelings. We also faced droughts and diseases. I made the decision to travel to Mexico to get supply but when I came back the Karankawa attacked the fort killing 355 of my men leaving only 45. In 1687 I only had 7 men left so I decided to go back to Canada. During this time my men killed me making it so only 7 people had survived the mission. Even though this mission failed, and also kind of an accident it still brought Spain's attention to Texas seeing a french man in ¨their¨ territory. They started to have a lot bigger presence in Texas. Im La Salle and this took place through 1685-1685 and this took place in the Matagorda Bay.
- I would want to be a part of the Apollo 11 team and be the first people to land on the moon in 1969. I would make history and would become famous and would have helped scientists get a better understanding of our infinite cosmos.
