  • Ponyboy Curtis is a young, good looking, greaser who's parents passed away almost a year ago. He has two older brothers named Sodapop and Darry. Ponyboy is especially close to Soda due to him and Darry fighting often. Pony enjoyed movies, books, sunsets, and the outdoors as much as he could while he wasn't at school.
  • Church Fire
  • One night, while visiting the movies, Ponyboy was sitting with his buddies Johnny, who came from a troubled home and abusive parents, and Dally, who's parent's never bothered to ask where he was going or if he was okay at all. The group noticed two young, nice-looking, pretty socs. Dally was bothering them when Pony and Johnny stood up for the girls.
  • Dally's Death
  • Cherry's no-good, drunk boyfriend Bob and his gang of socs noticed Pony and Johnny sitting with Cherry and Marsia and scared them off. When Pony got home, Darry hit him for being so late. Ponyboy was shocked and ran back to the lot where Johnny was sitting. The boys were met by Bob and the group again and protect Pony, Johnny stabbed Bob with his blade.
  • The Theme
  • When passing through, Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy see flames and young children running from a fire in the church. Johnny and Ponyboy run to the rescue of kids inside the church as Dally chases after them. While searching for some children, a large beam falls onto Johnny. Once in the hospital, Johnny becomes weak and dies.
  • Dally is effected by Johnny's death more than anyone and he doesn't knoew what to do without him. He decides that he doesn't what to live with the pain of Johnny's death. Because he is wanted by the police, he noticed that they were after him and he pointed an unloaded gun at them. Dally was shot multiple times and died.
  • At school, Ponyboy has been writing a theme about any major events in his life. He didn't know what to write about until a large series of events
