- If your daughter wants to be anointed, I will anoint only if she wishes.
- Scene 1
- Father, my daughter is going through so much pain. She is bleeding through her nose, and cant stop coughing.
- Scene 2
- Through this holy anointing, may the Lord in his love and mercy help you with the grace of the Holy Spirit.
- Scene 3
- Your daughter is anointed, she will feel better soon
- Thank you so much father, I appreciate it.
- Anointing of the Sick is given to persons who are seriously ill as a symbol of support and encouragement. The ill person must express a wish to receive the sacrifice; it is not enough for a family member to do so on their behalf.
- The priest anoints the sick person's forehead and hands with oil usually in the form of a cross, saying: Through this holy anointing, may the Lord in his love and mercy help you with the grace of the Holy Spirit.
- The symbols of this sacrament are the cross, blessed oil, touching the sick person head, praying hands and laying down of hands. Someone that is severely ill would participate in this sacrament.
