At night we say Hashkevinu between Ga'al Yisrael and Shemonah Esrei but this isn't an interruption between Geulah and Tefliah.
Wait how?

Ahaaa! But what about Rabbi Yehoshua?
Sure! Rebbe Yochanan explains that we compare lying down to getting up. So, just like in the morning we say Shema before שׁ׳׳ע, we do the same at night. His reasoning for this is the main redemption happened in the morning, but the redemption really started at night.
The Rabbis made it so the Hashkevinu is an extended bracha of redemption. Rabbenu Yonah explains further by saying that during the 10th plague they prayed to Hashem that their firstsborn wouldn't also be killed and they would be protected, so we have Hashkevinu to represent this.
Ohhh okay.

We also say ה׳ שְׂפָתַי תִּפְתָּח between G'aal Yisrael and Shemonah Esrei. This isn't an interruption as well because it's an extended form of prayer so it's not an interruption. Rabbenu Yonah says David HaMelech said this to ask for forgiveness for a sin he did on purpose. Since it is a form of tefillah, asking Hashem for something, it is a part of tefillah and therefore appropriate to include at the beginning of our shmonei esrei, as we ask Hashem for forgiveness.
Woah I'm going to take this into my Tefilah daily.
