  • King Charles I was the king of England during the English Civil War. King Charles I was killed for treason. King Charles I's view on "Divine RIght" was that it was right and he believed in "Divine Right". He also believed that no one could take any of his power away. His son King Charles II, rules after King Charles I's execution.

  • King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, Maximilian Robespierre, & Napoleon Bonaparte
  • King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were the king and queen of France during the French Revolution, Maximilian Robespierre was the president of the Committee of Public Safety and started the Reign of Terror, and Napoleon Bonaparte was the French general that took over the government. King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were killed for treason, Maximilien Robespierre was killed because his power had gotten out of control, and Napoleon Bonaparte had been killed of natural causes. King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette had believed in "Divine Right" while Maximilian and Napoleon didn't believe in it. The Reign of Terror was when the Committee of Public Safety had killed over 17,000 people. The rise of Napoleon was when Napoleon had taken over the government.
  • As a result of the Revolutions in England and France, the people gained freedom and rights such as the right of speech. There were two documents written, the English Bill of RIghts, and the Declaration of the RIghts of the Man and the Citizen. In the English Bill of RIghts, it says that people got the rights of life, liberty, and property. The Declaration of the RIghts of the Man and the Citizen was written similarly. It says that people got the rights of Speech, the press, and the government.
