Delay this marriage for a month, a week; Or if you do not, make the bridal bed In that dim monument where Tybalt lies.

An you be not, hang, beg, starve, die in the streets, For by my soul, I'll ne'er acknowledge thee, Nor what is mine shall never do thee good. Trust to't, bethink you; I'll not be forsworn.

In act 3 scene 5 of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Juliet lives her truth publicly by telling Capulet and Lady Capulet that she doesn't want to marry Paris. (which keeps her from marrying a stranger and someone she doesn't truly love but angers her parents. )
In this scene, Capulet is angry with Juliet because she doesn't want to marry Paris. This is important because Juliet wants to stay faithful to Romeo, which Capulet and Lady Capulet have no idea she is married to. This pushes the story forward because it is the reason that Juliet decides to drink the poison/potion from the Friar.
Even though living one's truth publicly by honestly sharing feelings opinions on your love can get people to disagree with you possibly cause harm to you but you can truthfully speak up and be courageous. (theme) This scene demonstrates my theme because Juliet knew she was going to get in trouble if she told her father (Capulet) that she didn't want to marry Paris but she truthfully spoke up anyways. (therefore, demonstrating courage)
