- Monica lives happily in Tsartslip
- Monica arrives at Kuper Island Residential School
- Sister Mary Louise cuts her braids
- LEAVE HER HAIR ALONE
- Monica lives with her father in Tsartslip. Her mother passed a few years ago when Monica had promised her to keep her braids forever.
- Monica is being made fun of for being called LP
- Monica gets made fun of for being called LP
- Monica arrives at Kuper Island after being taken away from her reserve.
- Monica tells Vivian about Father Maynard
- Sister Mary Louise cuts Monica's hair despite knowing the significance behind it. Dusty tries to stop it as best she can but gets her haircut as well.

- Monica is bullied by Dusty, Nellie and Vivian. LP means Little Princess and it is the name Father Maynard gave to Monica the day she got her haircut. They call her this to taunt her for being a good student and Father Maynard's toy.
- What's wrong LP??
- Monica tells Vivian about the sexual abuse Father Maynard puts her through. Vivian confesses to Monica that Father Maynard did the same to her during her first little while at Kuper Island. She tells her that Sister Mary Louise is in on it and waits for her outside of Maynard's door each night
- And so, I will be taking a leave from Kuper Island and onto a new school.
- Vivian threatens Father Maynard to protect Monica and is sent away. Vivian goes to the police and protests for help. Due to the cops trying to avoid any consequences on the Catholic Church, Father Maynard is simply relocated.
