At first, I thought this Anthropology class was going to be boring but... this course was so interesting and I learned so much. I was so intrigued that I even signed up for Cultural Anthropology during the fall term. Overall... The goal of Anthropological research is a deep and rich understanding of who we are as humans, how we have evolved/changed, and why we are as we are.
What I Learned...No matter what walk of life you pursue, anthropology provides relevant insights for your journey.
How will it help in the Future...Wow! I'm beyond SHOCKED... Anthropology is not as boring as I thought it would be.
This course has provided me with a greater appreciation and respect for human diversity...which will help make the world a better place for all humans.
Demetrius, this indeed was an exciting course! I look forward to using all the skills and lessons learned in the future with respect to interpretation/evaluation, cultural interactions, and knowledge applications .All of these will help a;; of us face todays and our future societal challenges.
Hey Caroline, what did you think about ANT2000? Honestly, I was shocked that I found it very INTRIGUING! Interestingly enough, I learned that Anthropology is not only the science of human beings, but also the art of asking questions, making connections, and trying/learning new things.5 years from now... The teachings from this course will allow me to take a fresh look at the present world around us, make sense of what may seem strange or irrational, gain a greater understanding of current processes, meanings, and motivations behind why/what we do as humans.
