Ever since I was young (around 8-9 years old), I had an interest with technology and computers (playing games included), yet I was told that I'd get nothing out of it since it would distract me from studying in school. But I didn't let that stop me because I knew it would come in handy in the future.

I'm so glad you finally got us a computer, dad! Thanks!

That was until one day when I got around 15, my dad bought me and my brother a computer for us to equally use and play on. It was the best day for me because I knew that's when I could show off my skills about how computers and how the modern technology works.

As I got to highschool, I was even asked for help from teachers to restart computers and check if the computers were in a vital condition, and of course I couldn't back down. My mother then later on appreciated me, saying she felt upset for not believing in me which I forgave her because I understood her POV. Even from just computers, I knew how phones (mostly iphones) work, and how to fix them if they get into a problem.

As time went on, my family would rely on me instead of the internet which made me feel appreciated, including my skills. I knew that if I kept believing in myself, I would make my parents proud. And surprisingly, if I played games, my parents wouldn't stop me from playing them until if I get exhausted from them.
