- Hello I'm Gregory Mendel, and i changed science forever...
- Gregory Mendel was a very important man in science. He was a monk, teacher, and a gardener but little did he know one of those jobs would change science forever. Its 1965 and he figures out that the pea plants he was growing were different in two ways, he was figuring out genetics. How it worked was the parent plants dropped seeds and those seeds has genetics from the parent plants. And how genetics work is how you are made like your hair color or eye color. But for pea plants it was shrivled, smooth, yellow, green, tall, short, white flowers, or purple ones, then he set out a experiment to see those changes.
- The reason why his work is so important is because we wouldn't know what genetics are today. And its crazy that they found his work 34 years later after his work and 12 years after his death. Its really sad but at least he gets a cool nickname. The Father of Modern Genetics...
