Storyboard Text

  • Ethos
  • I have taken inspiration from your numerous books and many more to begin hunting humans
  • Throughout all the books I have written, I have never once mentioned hunting humans
  • Logos
  • The poor are meant to entertain the wealthy and powerful, why should I not hunt them?
  • All people should be treated with equality, regardless of social status.
  • Pathos
  • Hunting had ceased to be what you call a sporting proposition...No animal had a chance with me anymore
  • Regardless of how easy it had become, boredom is not a reason to rationalize murder, how would you feel if Ivan died?
  • This is an example of Ethos because authority is being displayed in the following conversation, this being Rainsfords' books. His books would be considered authority because this shows Rainsford's experience and knowledge on hunting.
  • This is an example of Logos because it taps into Zaroff's logic that the poor are meant to entertain the wealthy. Rainsford dismisses this and demonstrates the logic that all people should be treated equally.
  • This is Pathos because Rainsford is using emotional topics such as Ivan to sway Zaroff. Zaroff shows his relationship towards Ivan when they first meet, so therefore if Ivan died he would be affected emotionally
