- In this story the narrator tells her mother about her exprience with both her grandmothers while asking questions.

- In the story the narrator seems to enjoy spending time with her Grandma Del , Later down in the story it speaks about the narrator having a second Grandma , grandma Elaine ,that she begn to prefer over Grandma Del
- Grandma Del is a caring , christian ,tradintional grandma,she believes that her granddaughter is beautiful and is perfect as she is ;
- Grandama Towser , the hype grandma , the untraditional one , she is colourist and she believes the narrator her granddaughter is too dark compare to her other grandchildren , she also discriminated the narrator by saying her hair is very rough and tuff like her father;
- In the story the narrator is itrouduced by her Grandmother to go to church . The narrator is aslo introuduced to Sunday School. Grandma Del Loves to prepare her Grandaughter for church by making dresses for her and doing her hair by moisturing it with castro oil .In the story the narrator talks about Towser inviting her to visit her cousins in clearwater USA. In clearwaters she gets discriminated by her familiy , and that makes here want to change her aperience
- In the end of the story the narrator the narrator prefered staying with her Grandma Towser more than Grandma Del. The narrator then said that her father forced her to visit Grandma Del one last time , this then meant that narrator wasn't planning on visiting her again . The narrator aslo stop speaking to her friends in the country and started to believe that she was better than them
