Today I woke up really early. Yesterday was my first day in the city. I had to leave my farm because I could not bring in any income, and my wife and kids had to go live with her family.
I am hoping to find a job somewhere in the city so that I can at least make enough money to bring my family here. Right now I can only afford this one room that's barely big enough for me.

I was told it wouldn't be any easier in the city, but I had to at least try. My crops aren't selling at all
I need to do something to help my family, but I know there are several families like mine that are struggling. They're calling this The Great Depression

We aren't quite sure how it happened, but I know a lot of farmers like me have lost most of their income and have had to move on to better opportunities. My wife wrote to me yesterday and told me that her and the kids are doing well but she's not sure for how much longer. They are living in her parents' farmhouse, and at least there is still income flow there. Her dad had a lot of savings from his farming income over the years.
There are some factories nearby, and even those seem to be failing these days but hopefully I can get a job somewhere.
