  • In this scene, Odysseus gets curious and decides to go into the cave, even though his men don't want to. They saw that the Cyclopes had a bunch of stuff hanging and they wanted to go steal it and then make a run for it.

  • "But in one stride he clutched at my companions and caught two in his hands like squirming puppies to beat their brains out."
  • In this scene, the Cyclopes wakes up and finds out that there are men in his cave, which makes him angry. So what he does is eats two of his men. Odysseus then lies about his ship being broken because he is worried that Cyclopes will mess with it, and it is protecting his men.
